Wilma’s life took a turn for the better when she crossed paths with Selina. This amazing rescuer noticed Wilma one day, just wandering the streets, looking lost and desperate. Selina couldn’t ignore her plight and decided to help this frightened dog find hope again.
Wilma’s Stroke of Luck

When Selina first laid eyes on Wilma, she was struck by the poor dog’s condition. Wilma was severely malnourished and completely hairless, likely due to a skin disease. Despite Wilma’s obvious fear of humans, Selina’s heart went out to her. With gentle persistence, Selina approached Wilma, offering what little she had—some Pringles. Selina shared with The Dodo, “She kept running away from me. I asked my boyfriend to help, so we drove back.” Wilma would flee to the village, where few people could reach her. But Selina didn’t give up. She patiently tossed food to Wilma, slowly coaxing her closer until she was able to place a leash around the dog’s neck. Finally, Wilma was safe in a small kennel, ready for the next step in her journey to recovery.
A Heartbreaking Discovery

Selina and her boyfriend immediately took Wilma to a veterinarian clinic for a thorough examination. What they discovered left Selina in shock—Wilma had recently given birth to puppies. Although Selina hadn’t seen the pups, she knew she had to find them quickly.
The search wasn’t easy. After hours of looking, Selina found the puppies hiding under some ruins. There were three of them, scared and alone. Selina carefully placed them in a small bag and raced back to the vet on her scooter, hoping it wasn’t too late.
At the clinic, the puppies received immediate care. Although they were out of immediate danger, they still needed time to recover and regain their strength. Once stable, they were reunited with their mother, Wilma.

Just as things were starting to look up, tragedy struck. One of the puppies passed away unexpectedly, leaving everyone heartbroken. Despite their grief, they had to focus on the surviving puppies. Wilma, ever the dedicated mother, nursed her remaining pups, bringing them comfort in this challenging time.
With Selina’s care and the vets’ attention, Wilma and her puppies made a remarkable recovery. Wilma’s coat grew back, and she became healthier than ever. The puppies, too, grew strong and lively, ready for the next chapter of their lives.
Eventually, Wilma and her pups were moved to a dog hotel, where they would wait for their forever families. Selina, determined to ensure they find loving homes, remains dedicated to seeing that Wilma and her pups get the best care and attention they deserve.
