When the dedicated team at Street Life To The Sweet Life heard about a helpless pup left near a Texas highway, they didn’t hesitate to act.
Upon arrival, they were heartbroken to see the scared Chihuahua mix for the first time. The rescuers knew they had to tread carefully to avoid pushing the frightened pup into traffic. It was essential to devise a foolproof plan.
Rescuing a Terrified Pup

The abandoned pup, later named Brie, waited anxiously for her family, unaware that she had been betrayed and left behind. Her rescuers were deeply moved by her plight and were determined to bring her to safety.
They crafted a thoughtful strategy, deciding to use construction netting to secure her. Their biggest concern was Brie attempting to escape. George, a member of the trapping team, skillfully cornered Brie with a catch pole and finally captured her.

Brie was terrified, unaware that her life was about to transform. When the rescuers held her and wrapped her in a blanket, she began to feel safe and started to trust them. The team sighed in relief, knowing they had successfully rescued her.
Street Life To The Sweet Life took Brie under their care and quickly fell in love with her sweet nature. They were confident she would soon find the loving family she deserved. Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue in Green Bay, Wisconsin, stepped in to help her find her forever home.

Brie was placed in a warm and loving foster home where she could decompress. She soon met her new furry foster siblings – a playful puppy and a cautious cat. While she loved playing with the puppy, she remained careful around the cat.
Meeting new people made Brie nervous, and it was evident she needed time to build her confidence. Her foster family showered her with affection and support, allowing her to reveal her sweet personality. Brie transformed into a loving lap dog, ready to find her place in the world.

On May 7th, 2024, Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue shared the joyous news that Brie had found her forever home. “This little lady landed herself an incredible human and has settled right into her new routine. We will be cheering Brie and her new family on as they embark on this new adventure together,” the rescue announced in a heartfelt Facebook post.
Brie was overjoyed to meet her new furry sister, Mija. The two quickly became inseparable, enjoying time together watching the neighborhood from their window. Brie felt incredibly lucky to have found a loving forever mom who would give her the unconditional love she had always longed for.
