When a compassionate woman spotted a lost pup wandering the street, she immediately sensed that someone had cruelly abandoned it.
Deciding to approach the pup, she realized something was terribly wrong. The poor pup had a nosebleed and severely red, tearful eyes. Without a moment to lose, she swiftly took the pup into her car and rushed to the local vet to uncover what was ailing it.
Finally Safe

Upon meeting the pup, now named Nora, the vet team instantly recognized the severity of her condition. After running some tests, they diagnosed her with leishmaniasis, a parasitic disease spread primarily through the bites of infected female sandflies. With no existing vaccine to cure this disease, the treatment was bound to be arduous and prolonged.
The disease had wreaked havoc on multiple organs, causing Nora immense pain. The doctors immediately administered the necessary medications, which brought some relief – her eyes weren’t as red, and she managed to eat a hearty meal. However, seeing Nora in such a dire state deeply affected her rescuer.
Long Road To Recovery

Drained of energy, Nora spent her days sleeping away the pain, clinging to the hope of a miracle. The entire vet staff held their breath, hoping to one day see this sweet pup running around their clinic, radiating strength and joy.
And that’s exactly what happened! After two grueling years filled with pain, challenges, and numerous medications, Nora triumphed over this dreadful disease. Today, she joyfully runs around, showing her hoomans that you should never give up on life. Her favorite activities include swimming, playing with her furry siblings, and cuddling with her hoomans.
